List of Singapore Public Holidays 2024

Here are the dates of the 10 gazetted public holidays for 2024 in Singapore.

Payment for Work Done on a Public Holiday

All employers and employees should be aware of the following:

Employees required to work on public holidays are entitled to an extra day’s salary at the basic rate of pay, in addition to their gross rate of pay for that day.
Both employers and employees may mutually agree to substitute a public holiday for another working day
Employers have the option of granting time-off-in-lieu, based on the mutually agreed number of works for working on a public holiday for the following group of employees:
- Workmen who earn more than S$4,500 a month
- Non-workmen who earn more than S$2,600 a month
- All Managers and Executives
